1. Describe District 12.

District 12 is a poor place. In this place lives a person name Katniss who tries to survive hunger. This place is protected by high chain-link fence with bared-wire loops. District 12 has a few places that are pleasant. District 12 has a population of 8,000 people. District 12 was surrounded by the forest which was elegal to tresspass.

2. What illegal activity does Katniss participate in doing? Why does she need to do this?

The illegal activity that Katniss participates is to trespass the woods. Katniss has to trespass the woods because she has to find food in order help her family and to live. If Katniss doesn't trespass the woods then there was no way she and her family could survive. Katniss had to trespass the woods also to hunt animals and sell them for things or food.

3. Describe the relationship between Gale Katniss. Do you have a relationship like this in your own life? Explain.

I think the relationship between Gale and Katniss is not that big or important. Katniss and Gale seem they only have a friend relationship. Katniss does seem that she likes Gale because in the story it says that she gets jealous when girls look at him and say many thing about Gale. Maybe during the story they might have a relationship. No! I don't have a relationship right now. I might have a relationship laterwhen i feel im ready for it.

4. How is Madge different from Katniss and Gale?

Madge is different from Katniss and Gale because Madge is rich. Madge has good and expensive clothes and Gale and Katniss have old clothes. Katniss and Gale live in District 12 and Madge lives in a mansion. Madge is the mayor's daughter. Madge and the mayor are the most important people in the community.Madge and the mayor are incharged of Distric 12.

5. What is the reaping? Do you think this practice is fair? Explain.

The reaping is when all the community of District 12 gathers up .In this ceremony people are chosen to participate in the Hunger Games. Primrose was elected at the reaping but Katniss took over her spot. I think this practice is not fair because all of the other people eat and the two competitives have to starve to death. I think this practice is cruel because Effie Trinket just chooses people without their approval.

6. Who is selected at the reaping?

Primrose Everdeen was elected at the reaping which is Katniss little sister.
